Mackenzie is attending the American International School of Budapest for 2nd Grade.
This is the 2nd grade building at AISB.
These are the lockers that line the hallways outside the classrooms, and inside one of the second grade classrooms.
There are only about 15 students per classroom, and there are four 2nd grade classrooms.
The second grade class is large enough that they get their own lunchtime and take up the whole cafeteria.
They can either buy hot lunch here or bring it from home...guess which option the picky eater is taking!
The computer lab (they go once a week) has Mac computers!!! She'll learn how to use the Internet and email.
The library uses a computer card catalog, so the students get used to using computers for everyday things.
They meet here for assemblies and to watch plays and shows that students and others perform for the students.
The gym inside and the indoor pool.
They use the pool year-round for swimming during P.E. and there is an American Club that we can join to use the pool during non-school hours.
This is the building that the American Club uses. It's part of the school and the club gets use of the school facilities during off hours, and sometimes they even meet for Sunday brunch (We're hoping it's American Brunch)!
This is behind the 2nd grade building. It is an all weather playground that is supposed to not puddle when it rains, and not ice over when it snows.
