Paris Ferris Wheel

The next day it wasn't raining so after breakfast we decided to head for another Ferris Wheel. This is the Ferris Wheel that they were putting together when Mackenzie and I were here over Thanksgiving break so she was pretty excited to go on this one.

We started off walking across the Pont des Arts along the Seine and then through the Jardin de Tuileries to the Ferris Wheel.

The Ferris Wheel.

The Tuleries from the Ferris Wheel.

Gramma from the Ferris Wheel.
Hint: she's sitting

Guess where we're going next?

A big kid in our basket...

and two other kids.

This was Mackenzie's favorite fountain when we were here before, but there was no water last time so she was incredibly excited that it was running this time.

Eiffel Tower

We decided to walk along the Seine and head to the Eiffel Tower. We crossed the Seine at the Pont Alexandre III then took a break while Mackenzie played in the sand.

Mackenzie likes playing with the gadgets that they have on the first landing (remember the floor level is level 0, so you go up to level 1 at 57 m, then level 2 at 115 m). We decided to take the stairs to the second landing, then stayed on the first landing to play for awhile.

The only good part about that is that after you make it to the second landing it's all down from there.

It started raining while we were up on the landing so we came down and met Gramma and Grampa and left to go eat dinner.

We started walking to the Rodin Museum and passed Napolean's Tomb. The Rodin museum was closing but the garden was still open. We only looked through the gate at The Thinker statue and since it was raining we decided not to tromp around the garden and headed for the hotel.
