We had the boat in and down one lock ready to come out but it wasn't going. Ended up that the rope at the back of the boat had slipped into the water before going into the lock and the rope was caught in the gate. We closed up the lock, filled the lock back up, opened the gate to get the rope out, emptied the lock again and moved on to the next lock, confusing the boat behind us, they didn't know if we were coming or going!
We're at a toss up between the rope in the gate move or the drop the key in the lock move for the winner of the 'best move of the trip'!
