We had to wait for this boat to come up out of the lock that we were going to head into, but they got stuck on some shallow ground behind us and had to maneuver around. Grampa tossed me the rope to hold the boat but the mud was so thick and slippery I had a hard time maintaining any footing (I was trying to kick a spot clear).
