The duplicate locks of "Heartbreak Hill", 26 locks in a seven mile stretch. By the end we would have gone up 250 feet total. The locks on this side of the canal are stiffer and harder to open than they were over on the other side. I guess the one side is the warm up to these. We were doing some serious leaning and sweating to get some of these open.
