On the night of June 11th, 1962, immediately following the 9:30 head count, Morris and the Anglins scaled the utility shafts to the roof.
Once they reached the roof, they climbed through a ventilator duct where they had spread apart the thick metal bars, and made their way to the edge of the roof.
