Jan 2004 - These are just a couple of the houses around Budapest that we like!
Jan 2004 - This is another section of the cemetary near our flat, we thought it looked nice with the snow all around.
Feb 2004 - On Tuesday of the kids Ski Break from school we went to the ice skating place in Városliget (City Park). It was closed, so we walked over to Vajdahunyad Castle behind the rink so the kids could sit with the Grim Reaper. He's actually a monk (Anonymous) scribe. Lucy wasn't too sure she liked it, she didn't want to touch him!
This is a stature of Sandor Petofi (I think). Sandor was a poet, he participated in Hungary's War of Independence (1848-49) and disappeared on July 31, 1849, in a battle against Russian forces. It is believed he was buried in a mass grave.
