Each colored hat group had one student and one adult from the Prizma school to lead them. The green groups first station was in one of the hallways where they were breaking up colored tile to glue around the window borders. Everyone in the group put a few pieces in place. The hallway is decorated with paintings and tile pictures on the walls and quite a few of the windows are already finished.
They put stickers on the hats after each station to show what project you had completed.
Next the green hats went to the macramé area. The students and teachers there showed us how to braid the yarn. The pieces are looped around and held by each finger, then you take one from the other side, move the others down one finger and take from the opposite side and back and forth until you are finished (or completely knotted up if you did it wrong)!
On to the art room where we had the choice to make a window art frame type thing or a cut-out flower. Here are Mackenzie, Andras (our Prizma student leader) and Ms. Blanks (7th grade Lang Arts teacher at AISB) working hard and showing off their finished projects.
From the art room we were taken to the relaxation room. They have a room with a water bed, low lighting (disco ball lights slowly rotating) and scents to relax students and teachers.
On to cooking. They were making the small dough with cheese pieces and chocolate cookies, Mackenzie is working on the cheese rolls and Andras (Andras is in 8th grade at AISB and translated for both the Hungarian and English groups the whole day and did a really nice job) on the chocolate cookies. Our student leader worked on putting the chocolate sauce on the cookies while another student put almond slices on top. More Prizma
